Feeling strange tonight

I took Grandma to the airport today so that she could go back to her old city and visit with family and friends that still live there. She will be gone 6 weeks.

These past few months have been very stressful with having her here because her memory has gotten so much worse and it is sad to say, but I was looking forward to the break.

And then I dropped her off and came home....

Now I am kind of sad that she will be gone for the summer, but kind of glad that I am free of all the extra responsibility and just able to concentrate on my little family for a while. I am feeling guilty because I am glad to be relieved of that stress for a few weeks. It is strange.
