Max will be getting a spacer as soon as we get back from vacation.  Apparently, his mouth is too narrow and all of his teeth can't come down the way they should.  We are hoping putting the spacer on him now will help us avoid the surgery that Josh will be having sometime this fall.  
The ortho can't be certain about the need for braces or not... so we will just have to wait the 6 months with the spacer and see what happens.

The family budget sure could use a break from all this pre-teen/teen growing and changing.  First, they both go into men's size shoes, men's clothes for Josh, men's appetites for both, and now orthodontics!!  Guess mac n cheese for a few weeks won't kill them.

Getting ready to go to Waldenwoods early next week.  We have spent a week there every summer, except for two, since Josh was born.  We didn't go the summer after my Mom died and we didn't go last year because Dad got remarried and Grandma moved in.    The boys love it there.  We rent a cottage that is lake front and has just enough modern convenience to make the experience low stress for everyone, including me!!  We have stove, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, tv/vcr, sometimes we have air conditioning.    We have a big campfire out back everynight and the kids make smores and enjoy the outdoors.    The week is always a really nice re-charge for me.  The week before packing always makes me insane.... and that starts today!!
