On the road to recovery
My father's hemoglobin finally rose to 11.2 today. That is fabulous news for all of us. He is still very weak from all that he has been through, but I think that he is on the road to recovery.
We had a great day today. The boys both did about 2 hours of schoolwork this morning and then they went ice skating at an indoor rink, with their friends. I spent the afternoon chatting with two of my good homeschooling friends and really enjoyed the break from the stress of the past few weeks.
My sister will be in town this weekend for a visit and to celebrate her birthday. Max has always adored this sister, so he is very excited to have a surprise visit from her this week. We have suspended school for Friday and Monday just to enjoy Aunt Kate's company.
Grateful today for:
My father's healing beginning
My sister's safe travel to visit us
My husband's flexibility and strength during family crisis'
homemade whole wheat bread for dinner
my friend Dana's breadmaking tips that make the homemade bread edible!
healthy children!
What are you Grateful for today?
