The Bah Humbug Blog entry

Our second car, a very well-loved (190k miles worth), 1993 Dodge Caravan died at the beginning of the week. We were hoping it would live until after our trip to Disney, for obvious financial reasons.

Today, the water heater died and in the process, caused some pipes to freeze and probably burst. We will get the full damage assessment later today, but it doesn't look like it will be one of those times that a few bucks will fix it.

Disney is paid for, except for some travel $$. We were hoping to get a new second car before the end of January, but that will depend on how far back the water heater/pipes problem sets us.

Christmas shopping is done and wrapped, so that is a good feeling. We didn't go overboard and we paid cash for all of it, so I don't feel holiday guilt, just that sick to my stomach feeling you get when lots of large ticket things start to go wrong all at once.

Off to try and plan some meals without using water!!
